HI, I’M SARAH
I am based on the Sunshine Coast, with a love of creating things that mean something to the people they’re made for.
I’ve spent close to 20 years working in graphic design, branding and marketing, helping businesses take the ideas in their heads and turn them into something they can actually see, use and share with the world. It’s taught me that good creative work isn’t really about making something look pretty. It’s about listening, understanding what someone is trying to achieve, and finding the right way to bring it to life.
That same philosophy now runs through everything I create.
With murals and illustration, I get to take it somewhere a little more personal. I love storytelling, imagination and creating artwork that becomes part of someone’s life. A mural can become the backdrop to a childhood. An illustration can capture a feeling or tell a story that words can’t quite manage. Those are the projects I find myself drawn to more and more.
When I work with someone, I don’t expect them to arrive with a perfectly formed creative brief. You might know exactly what you want, or you might only know how you want it to feel. Either is completely fine. My job is to listen, ask the right questions and help you work out the rest.
I’m a mum, a lifelong creative and someone who has always had far too many ideas competing for space in my head. If I’m not designing for a client, there’s a good chance I’m painting, illustrating, writing a story, working on my next creative project or thinking about one when I’m supposed to be doing something else.
After many years of creating within the world of commercial design, I’ve found myself coming back to the things I loved long before design became my career: drawing, painting, storytelling and making things simply because they make people feel something.
And I think that’s ultimately what connects all of my work.
Whether I’m painting a wall, illustrating a story or designing for a business, I’m here to help take something that exists in your imagination and make it real.
